COMENTARIO:
Metodología: Para el tratamiento de la muestra se utilizó la técnica de extracción automatizada con perlas magnéticas y detección por
reacción en cadena de la polimerasa con transcriptasa inversa en tiempo real para SARS-CoV-2 (RT-PCR) con una sensibilidad de 0.14
TCID50/mL.
Nota: Se analizan tres regiones genómicas virales: N Gene - RdRP Gene - S Gene. La detección de cualquiera de los genes o las
diferentes combinaciones de sus dianas con un Ct <=40; se determinará como POSITIVO para SARS-CoV-2.
Pueden presentarse resultados falsos Negativos debido a una baja carga viral menor al límite de detección de la prueba, esto puede
presentarse al inicio del proceso infeccioso o al final de la infección donde disminuye la carga viral
De haber sospecha de infección por SARS-CoV-2, se sugiere una evaluación a las 72 horas del contacto, salvo mejor criterio.
Este examen identifica la presencia del Virus o rastros virales, por lo que un resultado positivo no significa que el paciente está cursando
por la enfermedad COVID 19. Por lo que, este resultado debe ser considerado como apoyo diagnóstico en la confirmación de COVID-19
por el médico tratante y debe correlacionarse con los datos clínicos del paciente.

Methodology: For the treatment of the sample, the automated extraction technique with magnetic beads and detection by polymerase
chain reaction with reverse transcriptase in real time for SARS-CoV-2 (RT-PCR) was used with a sensitivity of 0.14 TCID50 / mL.
Note: Three viral genomic regions are analyzed: N Gene - RdRP Gene - S Gene. Detection of any of the genes or the different
combinations of their targets with a Ct <=40; will be determined as POSITIVE for SARS-CoV-2.
False negative results may occur due to a low viral load below the detection limit of the test, this can occur at the beginning of the
infectious process or at the end of the infection where the viral load decreases.
If there is suspicion of SARS-CoV-2 infection, an evaluation is suggested 72 hours after contact, except for better criteria.
This test identifies the presence of the virus or viral traces. A positive result does not mean that the patient is suffering from the COVID
19 disease. Therefore, this result is will be considered like diagnostic support in the confirmation of COVID-19 by the doctor treating and
should be correlated with the clinical data of the patient.
